Not your general purpose diode, but these diodes have a low voltage drop and are ideal for high speed switching. These are pretty common and a staple in my parts collection.Pros: The build quality looks pretty good. The wires are stiff and large enough to carry the necessary current. The labels are easy to read.Cons: None

I use Schottky diodes across low-voltage DC electric motors to prevent flyback EMF from damaging MOSFET driver circuits. 5A is a good rating for this purpose. I also use them in power supplies for circuit protection – the voltage drop is much lower than for standard diodes. These 25 diodes from Erzina are labeled SR560 MIC. A MIC SR560 datasheet is downloadable online. I checked each of the diodes on my multimeter and found the forward voltage drops to be: 189, 188, 248, 188, 188, 245, 252, 188, 188, 250, 188, 185, 240, 249, 188, 188, 187, 249, 253, 189, 188, 187, 247, 188, and 188 mV. It looks like these data are clustered around two levels 188mV and 250mV – but I don’t know if this difference means anything. The reverse voltage test indicated an open circuit for each diode. All these diodes seem to be working as expected for Schottky diodes. The price of less than $6 for 25 diodes seems to be reasonable.
