You can extend this tube and bend it. It will not collapse and stays how you set it. It can collapse back for storage. In one end of mine the wire end sticks out a little but it never got worse. Heavy duty and does what it says. Measure so that you are matching the outlet hole so slip this over.

My router table is connected to my table saw and I wanted a hose to go from the dust collection box under the router lift and the router fence. Because it is connected to my table saw I wanted to be able to move things out of the way with little clutter. This hose is everything that it is described to be. It fits over 2.5 inch ports on both the collection box and the router fence well, at least when it is stretched out, otherwise it is a little too rigid.. It is exactly 2.5 inches. It is exactly 39 inches long. The most desired feature for me is that it can be compressed out of the way.But in the end, it just didn't work for me. Because it is rigid and holds it shape, it does not bend around corners so well. Going around the saw table means that part of the hose needs to be compressed. So the 39 inch length is on the outside of the bend. I needed about four more inches to make it work.Too bad. But this is really not the fault of the hose. My only concern is that it extends by flexing a spiral joint around the hose. I don't know how many flexes this joint can make without a failure (like stress hardening).

This type of hose works great for stuff like a planer. Mine has the exhaust port directly above the outfield. Standard hoses will fall into the out feed. This rigid yet flexible hose is perfect. I run it from the planer to the separator, and it holds itself in position. Without this stuff, i'd have to rig some sort of gantry to hold up the hose (my shop is very very small, so I do my planing outdoors).Someone makes fittings the screw right into this hose. They have reverse thread which holds the fitting to the hose without needing clamps. I forget who makes them, but they work perfectly with this hose.I really like this style of hose. It doesn't take a lot of storage space (about a foot long when collapsed). A will hold itself out straight when positioned horizontally up to two or three feet. For under ten bucks (current list price), you can't go wrong.
