I used these to make cable runs to secure my Gazebo. I had to cut cable to length, and make cable runs, using turnbuckles to take up slack. I wanted stainless clamps, which look nicer than galvanized. I read numerous reviews, trying to find clamps that would be the right size, and work well. There are lots of options, and too many reviews mentioned problems of one kind of another.I settled on these, and for the most part they worked fine, but my initial cable was a touch short, and I needed to loosen the clamps to make it just a bit longer. I had finalized that cable, tightening the clamps as much as I thought I needed to. When I tried to loosen them, the second locked almost immediately, and nothing I could do would let me loosen it. The cable run was lost to me. Fortunately I had extra cable. I had this happen on my second run as well, but in that case I was able to loosen it enough before the clamp locked that I could work the cable out and remove the locked clamp.I started finger-tightening the clamps, and validating my cable run lengths, and only after I knew they were right, using a socket to tighten these clamps. I was also careful not to over-tighten, making them snug, but not super tight. My cable runs are not holding suspended weight. So I lost one cable run, and two of these clamps to nuts on the clamps that wouldn't loosen. I think if you really tighten them, the threads can get messed up. I feel I was able to tighten them enough for my needs, but I would be careful.

Used these for vinyl coated wires, I was too lazy to trim the vinyl off (which is what you suppose to do) but These still held great. Only complaint is it’s a chore to tighten these, not enough space between the two bolts to fit racheting wrench.

These appear to be good quality. Strong and weather resistant. They should work but are shorter than I expected.

They have been in for a year in an outside location, no rust at all.

These are a good product, except that 25% of them have bad threads. I believe its the U-bolts that are bad, making it so the little nuts will not tighten, rendering them useless.

Yes, they’re small. An open end 7mm wrench fits.If you’re breaking them you are probably torquing them more than needed.

I used these clamps to repair a broken winch wire rope so I could continue to use the winch on my Polaris Ranger. The fit is perfect, they are SS & nicely polished. Best 1/4” wire rope clamps I have used. These sure beat the galvanized clamps!
