I thought I'd try these even though we have paper wasps in my area. I've found that paper wasps really do avoid old nests (I'm told it is because they are territorial). So I leave old nests up after I spray them and kill the inhabitants. However, my wife doesn't like the old nests hanging around (she thinks they're still in there or coming back soon!) so I thought I'd try these. Haven't had any wasps nest near one yet, so will see how the rest of the season goes. Dropped 1 star because they are paper and not very durable. Really single season use only as I'm sure they're gone after the first storm.

Very easy to set up and looks somewhat realistic (color is a little darker, more brown than the gray color of real nests). It's made of paper, like a paper lantern, so I'm not sure how the durability will be but they're cheap enough that if they do work to keep wasps at bay it'll be worth replacing provided they last at least a couple of months. I am deathly afraid of wasps (the red and brown paper wasps) and they seem to love my house so I'm really hoping these will deter them and make them move somewhere else.

So far so good! I hung one of these on my porch to deter wasps that are starting to fly around and I haven't seen one since. It was easy to put together. I did have to find different string as the one provided wasn't nearly long enough or sturdy enough. They look much better than the paper bag trick I was relying on but don't seem sturdier as they're lantern thin. Only time will tell

These wasp nest decoys are very easy to assemble and hang, making them a simple and hassle-free solution for keeping wasps away. The realistic design is a nice touch, and they blend well into outdoor spaces like patios, gardens, and eaves. One thing to note is that they blow around easily in the wind, so it’s best to hang them in a more sheltered spot to keep them in place. If they hold up well and actually deter wasps, they’ll be completely worth the price as a chemical-free, low-maintenance way to keep wasps away from outdoor areas.Overall, they’re well-made, lightweight, and easy to use, and I’m looking forward to seeing how effective they are this season!
