The parts fit as described. The process for install is a pain if you don’t have a mechanics shop set of tools to hold all the springs in place while installing.

The left side brake on a John Deere deck has to have good pad to work right. There's not a way around to not replacing these. The deck pulley will grab a bracket with no pad left and spin it around ultimately causing issues with keeping the deck belt on.
