I have been wanting to try these type of punches out for a while and I was surprised how well they work. This set is excellent! I drove in number of small finishing nails and one after the other went in perfectly. You don’t even have to stretch the spring out very far for it to work. I thought it was nice that I didn’t have to use a regular nail set and hammer to finish it off. I felt like this spring nail set was faster too. These seem to be pretty good quality and I think they will be working for some time to come. Very happy with this set.

I was hopeful that these would make it easier to get my hinge pins out. Maybe it's the type of hinge pins, or maybe the pins are just jammed in too tight, but these did not work for me. I tried it on several hinge pins with no success. With that said, I expect it to work well for setting nails. The concept is so simple. Pull back and let it fly. These are nice quality and the spring is very strong. Too bad it didn't work on my hinges.
