My understanding i 413 filters all attach on a rail system. This attach with velcro, no spot for the rails

I found it to be a very difficult fit. I tried about 10 times before in got it in. I will NOT be buying this again.

I was intrigued by the collapsible feature of this filter and decided to try it though not for the equipment it is listed to be compatible with. As indicated in specs, this filter expands to 16"x28"x4" and I'm sure it would've fit perfectly in that equipment as-is. Mine requires the listing's "rated" size of 16"x25"x4. I'd hoped, its design would make it possible to make it fit. I needed to trim off enough of the top and bottom plastic horizontal frames to fit into a 25" wide enclosure, which I did without too much trouble using tin snips to. The filtering media is of purifier grade so I ended up with what I consider to be a filter superior to the standard heavy duty 4" media that I've always used. Furthermore, this filter is easier to install in the cramped space allowed by my application.One of the most difficult problems to solve with large 4" thick filters is how to purchase in bulk to save a buck and have room to store them for use over several years. These collapsible filters largely (or smallely?) solve that problem! They're packaged in boxes 1/3 the size of the filter itself, and expansion using 4 scissoring metal arms (2 front, 2 back) into the full-sized working unit takes mere seconds! Very clever design, accompanied by what appears to be outstanding filter media. Based upon my observations I have confidence this filter will hold up as well as, and probably better than, a standard paper media filter.
