I got this to use on a small butane camp stove. Small and light without being flimsy, it should heat water quickly and safely (the lid is kept in place by a small detent under a slightly flared top rim - a nice touch). And though it's not a commercial gauge steel, the bottom is stamped with a slight ring-shaped bump on the inside that should defeat any potential warping. I might try it out on an alcohol burner, but will hesitate to soot it up over a campfire!

I needed a small kettle for my coffee while camping and this was perfect. Packs small and heats on my propane grill. Definitely recommended
