These are nice dense wool disks mounted on plastic. They hold up well. Contrary to popular belief they will work on a 4 1/2" grinder. The outside grinder nut that screws onto the arbor (may or may not) fit into the inside diameter of the wool disk - it is close on most of my grinder nuts. If it doesn't fit - a couple light taps with a hammer give a nice pressure fit. Then you just screw it onto the arbor as if it were a threaded grinding wheel. These work great for buffing and polishing with and without compound. Be careful though and test. Most grinders spin in the neighborhood of 11K to 12K RPM. That is fast enough to melt a lot of paints and plastics - once melted onto your wool wheel - the wool wheel is no longer a wool wheel - it is now a hard plastic scraper. Hard plastic scrapers tend to scratch at 11,000 plus RPM. I like to use a variable speed grinder and test for optimal RPM.5 Stars for The Gekuvix 4" 12pcs Wool Polishing Wheels ~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life! ~

I used one of these to polish a repainted metal area that I had repaired. It worked well. The polishing discs did not scratch and I didn’t notice much, if any, shedding. I have a few more repairs to do, so the rest will come in handy. Plus, the one I started with still has a lot of life in it. They are easy to use and didn’t do any damage to my metal surface. I like the size. For me, I found this size easy to control and work with. Good value for the number you get.

This set is a good deal for the price. It comes with 12 disks and it fits my Makita hand polisher perfectly. They work great and help bring countertops to a nice shine.

These wool polishing wheel discs fit my 4 inch grinder with no problems. The core of the discs are plastic, but they’re very durable. The wool itself is just the right density so that you can control the disc in corners and edges and still keep it evenly working on flat surfaces. Overall very satisfied with the quality and functionality of these polishing discs!

I've used these for polishing stainless steel with white abrasive bar and they work very well. It's nice having a bunch of them for different types of polish, and at the rotation speed of a 4 inch grinder they aren't going to work well with anything sharp or that could get caught on edges or corners.

So as the ad shows these are ok for headlights or so I thought. Word of advice , test a small area. Im glad I did as these did gouge. Maybe on a bench but not portable.

I use these on my side grinder to polish The cast iron tops on my wood working equipment. They work great. After buffing the steel I use one with polishing compound on it and get a bright smooth finish. I then complete tops with paste car wax for a mirror finish.
