I bought this turnbuckle to use on a 20' x 20' shade sail so I can try to keep the right tension. It has done its job well thus far as it has kept the tension through quite a few heavy winded storms. I have only adjusted it once since initial install and that has nothing to do with the turnbuckle. I like the closed end design for the shade sails, much less opportunity for the sail to break free. This one had a very slight angle in the way it was tapped, but it was barely off center at full extension and full tightness. I was not concerned with this slight defect and it has not been an issue yet. However, for the price this thing should be perfect. I have seen other options for cheaper recently, so definitely take a look around before any final purchase.

This turnbuckle is easy to use and rotates without issue. I'm using this on a anchor for my gate post since its a 16' gate and it tends to need to be tightened from time to time. With 6" of adjustment this will help me keep that post tightened. The turnbuckle is stamped with 304 and seems to be sturdy as its holding a decent amount of weight. The nuts tighten along the threads of the bolts decently easy. The only negative thing i noticed is the threading wasnt tapped perfectly straight as you can see the threads are a lot closer to one side than the other but it does work fine. Overall its a pretty decent option but the price is a little to high.

AOKOLL 1/2 x 6.5 Inch SS Jaw and Jaw Turnbuckles -- Very good quality stainless steel turnbuckle. There is a twelve foot gate at my rural property. It was sagging and dragging the ground. I installed some new cable and this turnbuckle to pull it up straight again and now it swings freely. This turnbuckle is probably more stout than I needed but I don't think I'll ever have to replace it again.

I have an insulated 2 car garage, but one bay is unused. I wanted to be able to work in that bay, but don't want sawdust, spray paint, rust being grinded off, etc. from getting on the truck. I had some wire rope and anchored it to one wall, then used this turnbuckle hooked into an anchor on the opposite wall to tighten the wire rope so that I could hang a plastic tarp from it to wall the other bay off, like a long shower curtain. Due to the length (1 car length), I needed to tighten the wire rope so that it could support the weight of the tarp, because if it sagged too much, the curtain would be ineffective as it slid to the center. It worked well for this purpose, though is just a little bit larger than I actually needed, and I may replace it at some point with a smaller one. I misjudged how large this is, which is my fault, not the product's obviously.The only thing about it to comment on is that one of the "bolts" isn't perfectly centered, and when fully screwed in, angles off to the side of the buckle, but it doesn't actually touch the side. The other is perfectly centered. It doesn't affect the functionality or durability of it as far as I can tell, so I didn't ding the rating.
