There's a plastic grill around the middle of the pump that gets clogged up easily and causes the pump to overheat and burn out. Now when I replace one, I preemptively remove that grill with some pliers. It will eventually wear out and you'll have to replace it, either way. Value for money was good and was easy to install. Appeared old motor died only after 3.5 years bottom seal appeared to leak. So if u can find good under water sealer then seal the motor

Don’t buy from Wholesale Septic. Horrible return policy, inferior products, and poor customer service. I had to by this specific model pump because it’s dimensions and power output were required for my septic system. I bought the first unit late last year, and it failed 3 months later. It failed even though I purchased and installed a compatible float from them, which was required to validate the warranty. When the pump failed, and I tried to file a warranty claim, Wholesale Septic Supply told me that I had wired it wrong without even seeing the pump. They told me to ship the pump back to their office at my expense(over $50 shipping for 25 lb package) and they would determine if my claim was valid. It was not worth wasting the money on shipping if there was no chance of recourse on their defective product. So I purchased a second identical pump from them through Amazon, so more buyers could read this story of my bad experience in the reviews.

This 1/2 horse pump works great to replace the pump in our aerobic septic system. Hopefully it will last.

Top quality purchase I’m so glad I rolled the dice with this pump no regrets at all it works as supposed to sends water screaming at least 80 yards down for my septic sprinklers
