As you might imagine, I review a good many things as a Vine voice - and I feel like I can confidently say that at some point, somewhere deep in central China, a workshop was held in which somebody told Amazon sellers to come up with as many uses of their products as possible. That's really the only reason I can figure why so many folks are stretching so hard. No, this is not a yoga mat carrying strap. That's just straight ridiculous. It is what it was designed to be, and that's a stretching strap. You can also use it as a (very) light resistance band, but that's it. This is one of those things designed to do a very specific job, and whoever taught that Amazon seminar didn't take these into account.Used appropriately, it does what it's meant to do. It's softer and more comfortable on the skin than the inelastic ones, and the elasticity does indeed offer the additional use of light resistance (in the nature of joint stability/rehab more than strength training). It really should come with a little carry bag or similar, especially at the price ($12 at time of review), but it's fine, does the job, and I have no substantial complaints in that regard.

I've had some resistance bands for a while that I've used for stretching assistance during yoga practice and this is a definite upgrade! The different loops have little figures in the design that give you more ideas for stretches. The length is perfect for an adult, no matter how limited your flexibility might be to start. The material is thick, with good stretch that isn't too flimsy or too stiff. The stitching at each loop is solid so they don't feel like they'll come apart when using. The stretch band feels like it will hold up for a good amount of time and uses. The price is higher than the typical latex bands, where you can get 3 different strengths for ~$12, but you definitely get what you pay for here and it's a perfect addition to a stock of stretching equipment.
