as usual this bits break very easily. straight up and down low pressure. because they are so cheap the brittle nature can be over looked to some degree. drill press is the best procedure. no good for hard metals.

Great drill bits but very fragile

These drill are very small and any bending of them will break them. Hand drilling with themare impossible without breaking them. They run "True" with no wobble and drill clean accurateholes in PCB material. Had fast delivery. I only used 2 sizes but they did my job just fine.

The shafts are substantial enough but the bits are tiny, I mean really tiny, which you can't appreciate until you see them (see attached picture with U.S. dime). I bought them for drilling printed circuit boards for personal projects. They are tiny and fragile to handle, but when installed in my cheapo Harbor Freight drill press did not bow or wobble and cut clean and easy through the PCB material. Go slow and not too much pressure (especially lateral) as with any small drill bit. Thanks to the other reviewers who mentioned the case is a hassle to open, I agree and kept it firmly on the workbench when opening.

These are very weak bits. First one broke before even getting the drill press chuck closed all the way onto it.

These drill bits are EXTREMELY brittle and fragile. Like, pencil-lead fragile. Seriously.I was unable to use them for any intended purpose whatsoever. Each one snapped in half almost immediately. I suppose if you used them in an expensive, very precise drill press with literally zero lateral movement, they might have some limited uses, but they definitely should not be used in handheld drills or dremels. Unfortunately, all of mine are in the dustbin.

I got these drill bits for making small 1 mm holes in a model my son was working on. It's amazing how small these drill bits are in size. They make nice smooth holes and cut well into the substrate - in my case plastic. They come in a nice little case to keep them protected and poking things when storaging them.

I'm 100% sure these would be considered "titanium coated" and not "cobalt". In the case of these little dudes, probably better anyways as cobalt is harder but also more brittle. They cut, have pretty decent edges and appear correctly listed (size) so decent low cost set. Nothing amazing as to be expected, would prefer to see such small bits made from a better steel then coated as opposed to these same type of cast as any brand name std size bit, a powdered look when snapped (not sure of actual metallurgical grade).

Not to pricey and a good variety for experimenting. I bought these to drill holes in PCB's for through hole components. My calipers show these bits are the same size as advertised and they fit well into my 3018 mill. Be careful with them since they are small and easy to break if carelessly ran into a work piece.
