Reviewing these after many many uses. I have only used 2 for fine, freehand wood routing. I’m about 10 to 15 projects in and the bit is still sharp. I have used them on red oak, maple and walnut. Still sharp. For the price they seem well worth i!!!!!

I like these bits and the pack is a good overall starter set. HOWEVER, the bits themselves are quite short and cause complications when working with certain material thicknesses and plunges. Good price and value though.

The image in the listing does specify lengths, but the actual sizes did not match. Even between bits of the same type there were size differences of up to a millimeter off. So just make sure to measure before you use it.

I have several bits and use my router daily for carving. These are the only bits I've come across that slip during operation and have actually ruined a couple of my pieces since I certainly didn't expect that. Possibly undersized a bit on the shaft? Cutter portion is good.

I read another review for these that mentioned something about their bits leaving “fuzzy hairs” along their tool path and that it was a “waste of money”. But pay no attention to their ignorance and simply do your homework when it comes to feeds and speeds for your materials. Then, you’ll realize that there is a great value to be had in this particular set of v bits.I have been doing CNC work for about 9 years now, and up until about a year ago, I was doing mostly 2D cuts on sheet goods for sign fabrication. I’ve only recently got into v carving for more graphic-intensive purposes. Most of what I do can be done with a much larger 90-degree but that I can run at a faster feed rate and at a lower RPM, but I needed something for the finer details. That’s how I landed on this set, which I am pleased to have done.Since these are 1/8” shanks, just be sure to run them at a higher RPM. Start with a moderate feed rate for your application and tune it as necessary when you start cutting. Just remember that every CNC and spindle are different and will always produce varying results. So there are no “one size fits all” parameters with any given bit or end mill. You’ll have to spend time with your machine learning it’s limitations with different materials and variations of speeds and feeds for each bit you use.

I use these in a Dremel rotary tool mounted to a shop built precision router table for cutting precise angles for certain very tiny pieces of kumiko strips in which the allowable tolerance is less than .004" (0.10mm). This process is somewhat lower than using highly specialized Japanese hand planes which are nearly impossible to find outside of japan and cost upwards of $3000 USD for a set of four.
