They came in a set of tubes for Through Hole ICs, no generic baggies or plastic boxes. I got a complete 100 pack as advertised.Just started using them for breadboards and PCB and they work great. The ICs fit in pretty snug with a little pressure.The finish is only gold on the top flat surface of the round pin, so it may be more prone to corrosion on the male side of the round pins. Maybe it’s pretinned? Not really sure how to verify.

These machined IC sockets are top notch and work great. I received them in static tubes so no bent pins!

Love these round IC sockets. I restore a lot of computers and these have been my go-to sockets for some time now. The round pins are forgiving when I plug in prior used (desoldered) ICs. Unlike the sing/dual sided sockets that are easily damaged when pins might no be completely flat, these allow me to insert and pull ICs very easily. The pins fit into standard PCB through holes easily and solder flows on them with ease.
