I had gotten these to go into a plastic construction hard hat to add a chin strap, but the depth of the back grommet barely reached through the shell. Using pliers squashed both the button and the inside sleeve. I have attempted to use a screwdriver Phillips head to mash the sleeve into the button and, again, mangled the button and piece inside. I dropped the seller a note to ask how... The depth of the inside sleeve only seems meant for blue jeans or thin plastic. Not football or baseball helmet thickness. I am going to try this on a thin leather belt.

Only received 9 usable clips. The tenth was not riveted correctly.Test fitted these on standard football chin straps from Vicis, Schutt, and Battle straps and they work fine.Comes with the snap button side as well but you need to have the proper placement tool to fit it correctly: not on helmet, but more for a fabric strap, etc.

This product was priced fairly and the quality is excellent. We have extras if we need to repair more helmets. Would recommend buying this product to others.

Every time I get a helmet that isn't top tier pro without question the first thing that needs replacing (breaks!) is the 'hard' plastic buckle and snaps. I JUST got a brand new hockey helmet and cage and I didn't even get to use it because they broke on hour 1.I immediately looked for a replacement and saw these metal versions. Yes please!They are nicely polished, not a patch job but an improvement both stylistically and functionally. Just get these along with whatever sports helmet needs them. Extra bonus they give you a trove of them that I'm pretty sure has me set for life on buckle/snaps.

These snaps are good helmet replacement snaps. They’re easy to switch out and have fit every helmet I’ve had to use them on so they seem pretty universal. Everything snaps in good with them. The metal seems of the same quality as name brand store snaps. This was also a decent sized pack for the price. One of the features I was excited about was they were in a case. But the corner of the case was broken enough that the snaps fall out of it which was a bummer but doesn’t affect the performance of the snaps so we’ll find something to keep them in.
