I found the purchased nameplate to be exactly what was needed for a carrying case permanent ID nameplate. After installing the nameplate on the carrying case I sprayed the nameplate with a few coats matt clear coat for protection against the elements. The name plate text is only printed, not engraved, thus the clear coat extra protection.
