I used it to install 10, 1/2" studs... The bearings were shot after the 4th stud was installed. Don't waist your money.

This comes in a small box, covered with grease, with no instructions. I'm sure it is well greased to keep it from rusting, but boy is it messy. Even after wiping, grease still leaks when handling. Just a suggestion to use gloves when handling. It does feel well made, and has some heft to it. I expected it to have a straight shaft down the middle for the stud, but there is actually a lip on one side. Not sure how that will work as this did not come with any instructions. I assume I will figure out what the lip is for when I use it for the first time. I got this because I have had 2 studs snap off in the past 1.5 years when removing a tire from an older car. Getting the new stud seated properly was definitely a struggle, and I thought this would be helpful in the future, when the next stud snaps when removing. When that time comes, I will update this review.

This is s simple tool that makes the installation of replacement wheel studs a breeze.The tool provides the distance from the hub so that lug nits can be used to pull the studs in the the hub and has a concave top to accommodate the shape of then lug nuts.The ball bearing at the bottom lets the tool spin with the nut while pulling the stud in.While this is not doing anything you couldn’t accomplish with a bunch of washers and nuts it is make it the job easier and quicker, and for the price it will already have paid for itself if it saves you 5 minutes on the first job.

If your a mechanic or car enthusiasts, buy this tool! I was able to impact gun on all 5 lug studs in under 2 mins, after some trial runs on the other wheel hubs of course. This tool has a nice beefy bearing that seems really sturdy. Thats one of the things I liked about this tool was that it had a ball bearing to help keep the lugnut spinning and keeps the heat down as you sink in the wheelstud. I've used the big named wheels stud tool kits that didn't have a bearing and half the time I was worried about stripping the new wheel stud threads or lug nut threads. Not with this tool. Though I'm sure if you really wanted to try you could still uggie duggie it to infiniti and beyond.
