We bought these to use on my wife's 1986 Honda Rebel 450, as it was just a tad too tall for her to be flat footed. These lowered the rear of the bike 1.5", and now it is perfect. They can handle a heavy load, as I test rode it over serious bumps, and never bottomed out. Highly recommend these.
