These screws worked great for an unintended purpose. I used them to move the center grille on the car forward 3.5" after removing the license plate bracket.

I was very excited to find a longer screw to use to put my newer type of electric fence insulators on old cedar fence post. These work much better than nails and so much easier to build an electric fence.

Good long drywall screws

These 5" screws are as advertised, and did the trick. They are all measure 5" and I didn't have any issue with extra flashing or other defects. My only gripe is I wish these were available in a torx head instead of a Phillips head. Due to the length, they flex around a littlebwhile driving them in, which can allow the bit to jump and strip the screw.
