I got this as a small hobby vise. It works great for that purpose.

The Zona brand is owned by the same parent company that owns Foredom. It is identical to the vise sold under that brand. This vise is made in their CT factory in the United States of America. The body and jaws are made of die cast zinc and hold alignment/flatness pretty well for what it is. Folks will be disappointed if they are expecting this to be a heavy-duty vise or a precision vise for grinding. It is meant for light duty drilling and/or hand-working small jewelry or work pieces. For those purposes it is nearly a perfect product in my opinion.

This was the second one I bought. Was happy with the first one. The first time I used the second one, the knob broke off in my hand. I was not applying that much torque either--turning with my fingers. Now I worry about the first one crumbling in my hand. I contacted the company and all I hear is crickets.

No dislikes at all. Well-made (in USA no less) and I use it often.

Bought this vise recently and received it without a washer to hold the vise screw shaft in place. Meaning anytime you try to tighten something down it simply slips out of position and doesn’t tighten. Very disappointed with this product for the price. Can’t seem to contact the company or do anything other then a return from my phone app. Just missing a crucial washer to hold everything together.

My weekend tinkering has been moved to a portable rollaway toolbox workstation, so space is at a premium.I do a lot of soldering sporadically, and have always had trouble with wicking wire. I haven't been able to find any dedicated heat sinking devices, so I looked for a tiny vise and settled for this. I just use this as a large heat sink, clamping on to wire to be soldered, just behind the bare wire. Initially, I griped a bit because of the V shaped slits in the vise jaws; They make clamping on to wires a bit tricky.But.... Now I use this vise for so many other electronic related tasks, and the vise has been incredibly useful. Those same V shaped slits are useful for holding switches, many of which I use are radiused or diametrical. Working on some electronic fan projects, this helps stabilize and hold the fan as I work on it. I recently 3D printed a stand for a blower fan and needed to heat-press a threaded brass insert into the stand, which was a plate with a narrow post. Pressing the heat insert while trying to hold the stand by hand or hand tool wouldn't have been stable (and dangerous by hand). This little vise was clutch; I just clamped onto the post, positioned the vise to allow the plate to hang over the edge of my workstation, and was able to take my time setting up and pressing the insert into the stand. Now this little vise is a staple tool!

This little guy is perfect for what I needed. I do some misc lapidary work and I drill stones underwater using diamond drills bits. This is tiny enough to hold the stones, and fit nicely in a Tupperware container. And to top this all off, it is made in the USA. This thing is seriously an inch shorter than an iPhone.

First, Amazon forces toy style reviews on this product. I had to agree that I'm over 13 and rate how fun, educational, etc. This is a tool and it is sturdy. There is little or no sloppiness. It fits the Dremel workstation. Very nice except it does not hold 1 1/2" materials. It comes very close but won't. I had to return it.
