The Zipp rim strips are a bit thicker than some other brands, which may make it a bit more difficult to install a tire on the rim. However, I find them to also be very reliable. They stay in place, and I do not get spoke-hole punctures as I have sometimes had when other brands of rim strips have migrated out of place.

I've run these for a year, about 6000 miles. Like the light weight and no problems mounting tires due to the very thin tape profile. No problems with the woven nylon shredding, splitting, etc.Get the correct width for your rims and you shouldn't have any issues.

These are super strips, strong, non absorbent, and easy to install. At about the 5,000 mile mark I rotated the strip about 1 inch, this necessitated punching a new valve stem hole but extended overall strip life

I will no longer be using any plastic rim strips of any type. These particular ones are made of a very fine fiber cloth material. One tiny stray fiber punctured my tube. Other plastic rim strips fracture under high inflation pressures, usually at the spoke holes, and the sharp cut edges cause flats. I was warned about this by my local bike shop but did not listen. They said to stick with old school Velox tape. Which I am now doing. Velox tape has NEVER caused a flat on my bikes in over 40 years of use. Every high tech plastic/ synthetic strip I have ever used has eventually caused a puncture.The packaging on these Zipp Strips is different than when I bought mine. Maybe the product is different, I do not know if they have changed to try to prevent these problems. But I am sticking with Velox .
