The small one is just right for a dwarf hamster. I've bought 4 different types of carriers for my 4 year old to carry her dwarf hamster in. They were all too big on her body. This is perfect. It's soft and dark inside and I imagine it does not need much space for the time being when we are out.

I got this little bag for my grand daughter to bring her hamster home in. It is a cute little bag, thickly padded, it is soft to the touch, and has quality hardware on the included strap. However, it is not large enough to put a hamster in. My grand daughter is using it as a small purse, and uses it to carry an LOL doll.
