I purchased this product to use with my acrylic inks. The quality is top notch, you do pay a little more than usual but you are getting in my opinion the best paper for your money. It’s so easy to use, and the results are amazing. This is a great recommendation, go for it.

There are only 20sheets of this paper. The pad arrived after a very long wait with the first page pulled out crumpled up on one side and put back. Unfortunately Unusable. Bit galling considering the price!

I have a family member who has allergic reactions to paper made from wood pulp, this makes drawing, painting, writing etc all extremely challenging . Mineral paper has given her a renewed opportunity to be creative with these mediums , what a brilliant change!

The first time I tried this, I didn't know what to make of it. It didn't have the feel or hand of paper, and pencil or watercolor basically disappeared if I wiped it. But I took it on a trip that I had to make, stuck some sheets cut to size to fit a small shoulder art bag and brought along some art pens so I could doodle on the flight. The flight was long, but I was having a blast. The passenger sitting next to me asked if I was an artist, and I told her I was. Then she offered me a tangerine. I traded her the sketch I was working on for the tangerine, so we both came out ahead. Will sketch for food! This mineral paper is perfect for art pens. It gives a brilliant contrast.

This is my new favorite watercolor paper. It's so smooth, I just want to touch it, lol. Great with alcohol inks. The picture I've used is with homemade alcohol inks. Watercolors work week also. Gives a very interesting look when dry. The painting isn't finished. I haven't detailed the leaves yet.

Love this paper. An alternative to Yupo paper like them both! It this is a bit thinner and worked well.

I'd never tried mineral paper before and thought I'd give it a go. The paper is very, very smooth and works great with alcohol ink or even food coloring pretending to be alcohol ink. I've also used it with fine liners, charcoal, and acrylics. It holds up pretty well and is really fun to experiment with. It still amazes me that they can make paper from rocks!

The bad: This paper is quite thin and will keep crease lines if it is bent/damaged, which is what happened to my pad during shipping. I've had this pad since September 2022 and the photos are from today, January 13. I don't think I will trust ordering it from Amazon again, given the very poor manner it was packaged. It's too bad, because I would really like to try the newer version of this paper, but have been unable to find it elsewhere.Yasutomo claims on their website: A great alternative to wood-based paper. Tear resistant, foldable, and non-wrinkling. Will not bleed through even when soaked. Mineral paper is a great surface for almost any media wet or dry, and can be ink jet printed (results will vary depending on the printer). Its bright white vellum like surface allows for crisp lines, saturated colors and just the right amount of absorbency for a wide variety of creative techniques.Tear resistant: It's pretty easy to tear, but it is more resistant to tearing than wood-pulp paper of similar thickness. If you really want to tear it though, you can.Foldable: YesNon-wrinkling: In my experience, it will definitely wrinkle and hold on to wrinkles and creases. This claim seems a little at odds with it being foldable. Will not bleed through when soaked: It does not bleed throughGreat surface for most media (except oil based products: paint, pastels, etc.): In my experience, yes. It does well with alcohol ink and alcohol ink markers, standard writing pens and pencils. It works with watercolor, but it's very different from working with watercolor paper - I think it would work best with gansai and Japanese watercolor techniques.

I was hoping for Limestone paper (calcium carbonate) but the description did not say what kind of stone this was so I decided to try it anyway. This paper was very nice but it was tearable, but with slight difficulty.
