My husband needed a new practice home plate, so I got him this one, and he says it's slightly thicker than other practice ones he's had before (a plus). Just keep in mind that this is not meant to serve as a real home plate. It's floppy, pliable rubber and is for practice only.

The rubber home plate is thin, nothing like a real home plate on a baseball diamond. It will work for us when we play ball in the yard, but I will glue it to a piece of board to make it more flat and stable. It does not sit flat in the grass because it's too pliable.
