It's a tough place to work, so it takes some time to get fully installed but I had no problems with fitment.Seems sturdy.....we shall see!

I have a 2024 KLX300. As I tried to mount the skid plate, I found it was hitting the lower left frame tube and would not allow the mounting holes to line up. I had to grind off about a 1 inch section of the skid plate so it would clear the frame. Once I did this, everything fit great. Some reviewers state there should be spacers for the middle mounting bolts. My kit DID INCLUDE proper spacers. Mounting, although finicky, went with no problems. The skid plate is nice and tight to the frame. Build quality is very good.A special note for California KLX300 owners. We have that stupid emissions canister to deal with. This skid place fits no problem with the emissions canister in its stock location.

Seems to be of high quality paint, material, welds, etc. Installed with patience from lying on my back. The one I received has 3 places to attach:-2 "hooks" on the fwd down tube-2 allen head bolts in center (utilizing factory attach points)-2 allen head bolts in the rear (utilizing factory attach points)In the beginning, I used all 6 fasteners and added my own spacers (none were included with hdwr kit). Spacers were needed especially in the middle since they thread into a factory metal cross pc that if you over tighten could pull/distort/muck the threads of this cross pc. Also, if you cranked the center ones down too deep without spacers, the bolts might actually come in contact with the btm of the engine case. The spacers I made prevented this. I also added 2 "thick washer" spacers in the 2 rear fasteners in the rear.I had to remove the skid plate about 4 months after initial install and getting these center spacers to stay in place/line up was a PITA. Putting it back on, I left out the center fasteners altogether and just attached it with the front & rear-most fasteners. I also added some foam strips where the skid plate contacts the frame (save paint on frame/lower noise). Its still attached plenty sturdy.I've changed oil with this plate on & though the access hold is large enough to remove the drain plug, the oil still drools & pools on the top surface of the skid plate when the bike is held level during the drain. Probably no avoiding this messiness. My main purpose of installing this is for protection of rocks kicked up by the front tire trail riding, not jumping boulders or tree trunks like a trials rider. As mounted, it looks good & does the trick...Purchased in March '24 for $100. As of Dec '24, only $78 now.Update 10 months after purchase:Hole to access oil drain plug wasn't centered under plug, caused oil to hit top of this skid plate. I "over-elongaged" & therefore re-centered where the hole was so no more mess. It's not pretty, but no more mess when changing oil with bike on kickstand.

Fit my 2024 klx 300. Not that easy to install. I wish the bolts were 8 and 10 mm and not 2 sizes of Allan wrenches. Probably going to change that soon. Be prepared to lay on your back for while putting it on.

This is one of the first things I bought for my 2024 KLX 300. The factory skid plate is a small flat plate, which basically does nothing. This was easy to install and fit perfectly using the factory holes on the bike. I would recommend using some loctite when mounting so it doesn’t vibrate off. Much better protection and I would highly recommend.

Installed on a 2007 Kawasaki KLX 300. Fit was great and it seems very sturdy. Others have commented about needing spacers for the center mount. Mine come with spacers and they fit nicely. Also came with plate cushions to dampen the sound. Very happy with the product.

Fit and finish of the skid plate is really good. Not properly tested yet but looks and feels heavy duty.I removed the exising OEM skid plate and installed the new plate using the same holes, It took no modifications or drilling and the new plates holes lined up perfectly. There is no noticeable vibration noise between the skid plate and the bike frame.
