This kit is a great buy, comes with plenty of wool a cute wool pad and enough needles. I do already buy wool from wool buddy, so I know it’s a great value.My kids loved how wonky the characters looked so I had to get it lol. I have to order another one because they both want to make that silly elf.I do suggest buying a felting tool if you find holding the single needle hard to grip so you can work faster. There are different gauge needle sizes in the kit. The smaller for detail, larger for felting the bulk of the project.If you’re just learning, take your time and have fun with it. Wool felting can be a great way to relax, release stress, and improve focus. My kids and I have been felting on and off for over 10yrs, it’s been a great way for us to spend time together and be creative.

This is a great set with many different Christmas characters. Gives you everything you need to get started. Price is reasonable, especially for beginners, as these kits can be quite expensive.

I've long wanted to try needle felting, but I know it's one of those things that I'll do once, I'll have fun, but I won't need to do it twice. It's interesting, but not enough to fully invest in all the materials. So this kit seemed like a great way to make a few creatures, get the experience and not break my crafting budget.THE GOOD:- You get everything you need to make a few items, including a nice range of colored wool, a thick felting mat and some needles.- It comes in a small reusable box making it portable.- There are plenty of sample ideas, but you can also do your own thing.- It's a great way to get a variety of colors without investing a lot of money.THE BAD:- This kit comes with single needles. It's my understanding that tools with multiple needles are used for the bulk of needle felting. Single needles are for the finer details. Not that you can't do it with the included needles, but it's going to take a lot longer.- The kit itself does not include instructions. Instead, you're directed to a video. While it's not a deal breaker, it would be nice if they also included written instructions for those who just want to sit down and get started without a lot of extra hassle.

This kit comes with several needles, a base, and several colors of wool. There's a booklet and a QR code for a tutorial. What more could you need?!

I’m new to felting, so I needed to find a kit that would have everything I needed to get started. My primary aim is to make some Christmas ornaments and with the materials in this kit, there should be enough here to achieve that. The variety of wool colors is excellent so I can experiment beyond the suggested projects outlined in the booklet. I’m grateful for printed instructions though, as I’m a total beginner. There is a scan code if you want to watch a video tutorial, but I likely won’t go that route unless I get horribly stuck. The instructions make it seem like felting should be pretty straightforward, but that remains to be seen! The only tweak I would make to this kit would be the inclusion of thimbles or finger guards because I’m sure needle pokes will happen. This kit is an affordable way to try a new craft and I’m so excited about the creative possibilities!
