I mistakingly ordered these thinking they would work with 10mm x 3mm zinc coated Jack Chain from TOOLSTATION, to Replace and Upgrade the Chains on my many hanging baskets, unfortunately the smallest opening Teath are too large in size for the said Chain. Carefully I spent one whole day with a small round warding file and half round file Making the first Opening Teath Smaller in Size, eventually they became the Right Size.

I was hanging a chandelier and was trying to figure out the easiest way to trim the unneeded links from the new chain, the options being things like a couple of screwdrivers to bend a link, conventional pliers, a Dremel tool to cut the link, etc. None of which were particularly enticing given I'm on a ladder and working over my head. This little jewel saved the day. It opens (and closes, if needed) a link with a minimal effort, and without distorting or marring the link finish. Highly recommended!

This is an interesting, but necessary tool. My wife had purchased a decorative chandler. The chain was made from steel rather than the normal softer metals typically used. At first, I tried to use two pliers to open the chain link. I could feel the strain in my wrists and the chain barely moved. I ordered the tool from Amazon and found that it worked very well. There is also a feature that closes the link. The tool works well with one hand and average strength. I would recommend it if you are doing electrical work.

Tool makes opening the links very easy. Not nearly as easy to close the links once opened.

This tool is simple but it works. Makes it a breeze to open and close links on a light fixture chain. I hung a pendant over our breakfast nook without such tool and opening and closing the chain was a chore, and it was hard not to chip the paint finish of the links. This weekend I replaced the chandelier in my dining room and I'm so glad I thought to order these pliers. It was effortless, works as advertised. The links open easily and close clean with no chips to the paint finish and no distorted looking links. Definitely worth the cost.

I have a chandelier with thick chains that need to be shortened. Regular pliers work, but painfully slow. These chandalier pliers do the job much quicker, and do not damage the chains in the process.
