I love the variety and the price for so many different sizes. We're using this for mixed-media projects. You can run the balls over the artwork, and get really neat effects. You can also dip the balls directly in paint, tilt the canvas slightly, and get great visual effects. Just make sure the balls don't slide off the canvas and end up on the floor, where they'd because a tripping hazard. To make sure that doesn't happen when we get to the part of our projects where we're going to you tilt the canvas, we put use a box larger than the canvas, so that the balls end up in the box. You can then easily clean the balls.The balls come perfectly packaged.While we're not using them for mixing, I can see where they'd be great for that also, as they're a good weight and not flimsy for their size.

Put one bearing in my hobby paint bottles to help shake and stir paint.
