I'm replacing the flooring throughout my entire home and decided to go with this upgraded waterproofing membrane. I appreciate the fact that it is waterproof and extra security it provides. I know this membrane will prevent moisture from penetrating or seeping through to the subfloor. This significantly reduces the risk of mold and mildew growth. I think having the waterproof membrane can help me in the long run when it comes to saving money on future repairs and replacements. Was quick and easy to install, which saved me lots of time.

I use Schluter products and have a bunch of their isolating membrane I am going to be installing. But they are really pricey. And this stuff isn't rocket science. Their $177 for a roll of this material simply does not reflect its value. I can use woven fiberglass matting my wife uses in car restoration and it does fairly well - I've never once had a leak. But I would prefer something thinner and easier to work with. Which is this stuff.I use this on my stacked panel edge joints and in the corners. Since I use precast Castico shower pans I do not use it at the bottom where the wall joins the pan. While not entirely necessary, especially if you are using large wall tiles that bridge any wall panel joints, especially if you used silicone caulk on the edge of the panels as you installed them, it does make a nice bridge between panels and you have less fear of tile or grout cracking if a tile edge falls close to a panel edge. And in new construction or remodels the wall framing is not always entirely stable at the time tiling takes places. So it helps to tie everything together as much as possible.This product currently has a $15 off coupon making it a really good deal, especially when compared to the competition.

I used this while installing a name brand pan & it did a good job for less money than others. Similar material, quality & function as more expensive types. Easy to roll out, cut & install. Will definitely use again on other projects.

Durable yet flexible underlayment mat for bath tiles. Rolls out easy and forms a good seal for under the floor in the bath and shower. This one is a little stiffer than some of the others. Good and thick so there should be no problem with holes being punched in it during installation. Pretty good stuff.

I honestly don’t know much about waterproof barriers, but we’ve been trying to DIY as much as we can in our home. From what I can tell, this is on par with what you can get at any big box hardware store. We’re going to be installing this in a long and narrow bathroom, so I feel confident in being able to use this roll without freaking out too much.

Ordered this: Waterproof Membrane for Shower 9.8 Inch X 98.5 Ft / 83.6 Sq Ft Waterproofing Membrane 20mil Thickness Tile Underlayment Waterproof - to use this spring on a tiny home bathroom. This is what you need in order to seal the tile or wall boards etc.Came in a brown box in a neat roll with no branding or product details. Seems like a reasonably thick fiberglass barrier that will work great when sealed into place. Perfect size for doing seams and corners. I'm not an expert on this product class but it seems as good as what we have used in the past. Cost wise perhaps a little bit higher than what I see comparable products listed for currently.
