Used this to get the bars a little higher and closer to me on my Heybike brawn, worked great! Fits perfect. Can comment on quality yet as I haven’t ridden it yet, but looks to be good quality.

Very easy to install, took about 10 minutes because I was being super cautious to not lose the little washers on the handlebar attachment. This brought my bars up and rearward and I am happy with it. I have less strain on my back and my neck since I'm riding more upright. And the bars are still in front of the stem so I have no issues with range of motion of my knees when pedaling while cornering. I installed it today very easily, and unlike installation videos online, there's no need to remove the adjustment mechanism. It can be loosened and pivoted after install. In fact, I recommend leaving it at 0 degrees to make aligning the handlebars with the wheel easier. After those are tightened up then pivot the riser to your desired angle and snug. Lastly rotate your handlebars to account for the new angle change.Overall a great buy especially for the price. Snug everything up and it holds tight and secure.

I am subtracting one star due to the issue I had with mine. Upon first inspection I was impressed with the apparent quality and machining of the unit. After adjusting to the desired angle I wanted and tightning the locking screw I noticed there was still movement at the joint. I tried tightning the screw further but it would not tighten and the joint was still loose. The joints have teeth that mesh when when the screw is tightened to prevent movement but in my case the teeth were not fully meshing when the screw was tightened. After removing the screw completely and disassembling the joint I noticed the problem. There is a spring inside that pushes the joint ends apart when you loosen the screw to allow adjusting of the angle. The spring in mine was too long and was being fully compressed when tightening the screw, preventing the screw from being tightened further. I cut about 1/4" off the spring length with a pair of diagonal cutters and re-assembled the joint. Now the joint locks solid with no movement even with only moderate tightening of the screw. I noticed reading other reviews that other people apparently had this issue and broke the unit or stripped the screw trying to tighten the joint not realizing it was the spring inside the joint causing the problem. I hope this helps other people if they run into this issue. After installing this on my bike I really like it and adjusting the handlebars up to a better position, the bike is much more comfortable to ride.

The Wake MTB Stem 31.8 looked very nice with a powder coated finish, beefy stem tube. I like the screws aligned on one side, while opposing sides is probably more even but doesn't look as symmetrical. But upon closer inspection with calipers, there are some odd sizing with stem opening. My stem's outside diameter is 28.6mm, exactly to spec. But the Wake stem opening is 28.1mm, which is .5mm smaller. I thought the opening would have been factory flared to allow smooth fit into any 28.6mm stem +/- 1-2 hundredths. The 2 screws would clamp down for a tight fit. I had to find something to widen the stem opening. I ended up using a pry bar by hand which worked with a bit of lube and a mallet. The other issue is my existing stem is 40mm tall, but this is 35mm tall, needing a 5mm spacer to be added otherwise there is too much play with the headset. The handlebar mounting holes have 1 hole that appears to be cross threaded. The other 3 screws thread in loosely by hand but the 4th one fights back as soon as you get the screw thread on. With so the many issues, I've requested for an exchange as well as buying a pack of spacers. The replacement had some bald spots on the finish but at least the stem opening is within specification. I ended up setting to 40 degree angle to be more upright and still have good steering control.

Worked better than expected and was easy to install, seems of very good quality. I installed on my dual sport/hybrid bike by swapping partially and installing it on handlebars loosely first, disconnected existing one partially, slid new one into place and finally swapped it onto the stem. in one move, then tightened it fully and removed old one. This way I could do it myself and nothing was hanging down, didn't have to juggle or risk losing parts, etc. A true swap maneuver!Just bring your bike tool with you to tighten up after your first test ride, took a bit of readjusting as I did not want to over tighten it up and then it was very solid. I put mine at 40degs and I probably did not need the 110mm version, but all works fine and bike is much more comfortable overall. Rode bike a few times and is holding solid, but will check it periodically. Got it perfectly centered without issue. Is solid black color, so matched the one I replaced in color. Same as handlebars.
