First, the item was delivered over 100jm from where I live. It was resent and delivered to the wrong house. It took talking to all the neighbors to know where it was delivered. Second, the product requires assembly, which is not mentioned in the product description. The first instruction for putting the item together is "wear protective gloves" (so you do not cut yourself on the sharp edges of the poorly manufactured product). Third, when all is done, the commercial can opener does not open commercial cans. Shame we cannot give it a rating of zero or perhaps minus five.

Like many reviewers, I got tired of replacing can openers as most of them are built quite poorly these days. The thinking was that I could purchase this opener and I would be all set. This appears to be far from the case. The operation of the can opener is quite a bit more nuanced than that of a normal consumer can opener. When you puncture the can initially to get started it places a great deal of force onto the cutting blade. Not only is this likely to wear down the blades edge, but I suspect that the blades are prone to breaking.Although it's hard to get the can ready for opening, once everything is properly in place, it is a quick motion with the rotating handle to get the can open.Based on these factors alone I would say that this product has a moderately aggressive price although when you compare it to a consumer grade can opener, the value is much better. Suffice it to say that the value is roughly what I would expect. When you factor in the extreme premium of purchasing a new blade, the value of this product compared to cost diminishes dramatically. Blades look to be about twenty dollars which is about the same as a new premium can opener costs.Had I known that a silly piece of metal (the blade) would cost about 42% of the cost of replacing the entire opener, I would not have made this purchase. If I had to do it again, I would have simply purchased a consumer can opener from a premium brand.. one that has a warranty.

Definitely gets the job done but unlike the description, can leave metal shavings inside the can. Yum.

Flimsiest commercial can opener I’ve seen since the hand held opener I bought on here, what happened to quality control and decent commercial adds that tell the truth?
