These are ok. I ordered 3 sets and they all broke nearly immediately. Had to return and get replacements to finish the job. The new ones cut steel well and were true to size. Functioned fine in the hand drill and drill press we used. Just plan on ordering spares or returning broken ones for your project.

Used one of these solid carbide bits in a drill press to drill a little over 100 holes in a 3/8” 304 stainless steel plate. Ran at low speed with heavy feed pressure and lots of tapping fluid. Still cutting well when I finished.

Awful. DO NOT BUY! Both bits broke in half after just a minute or two of use.

This was the first time I ordered drill bits online.I expected long bits, but these are only 1.5 in long. Since I have a small drill too,I keep it. Just be aware of the length!

I had a hardened bolt shear off in one of my pieces of home lawn care equipment. Couldn't back it out, so I tried drilling it with one of my conventional bits.... didn't even scratch it. Bought these, hoping they would be just long enough to reach the broken thread. It cut like butter. After 1(?) minute, I had the hole I needed to insert a screw extractor. I'm a happy camper. And I expect they will receive additional use, as this problem has occurred a couple of time previously. Very pleased with price and performance.

Worked well but use extreme caution as they are brittle. Not recommended for hand drill, unless you're really careful and experienced. Must remain dead steady and even pressure, carbides are like glass but do the job. Used these to enlarge hardened sun gear oil holes, first ran a carbide tree burr in the valley, then used these to open existing holes. Worked well enough.

This worked perfectly when other bits failed against this hardened steel.

The harder they are they are more brittle so it's best to use a drill press. If it leans one way or another there's a good chance it will break. They do cut very well.
