1. What is a dowel pin?

Install
This cylindrical locating pin has special chamfering on the two ends of the pin, so that the pin can be easily inserted into the mounting hole. Please confirm the size of the locating pin you need before purchase，In order to maintain the best firm performance, a metal adhesive can be added at the fixed end of the locating pin.
Connection
The pin is one of the unthreaded cylindrical pin fasteners. When connecting, make sure to keep the alignment between the hole positions between the connecting components.We suggest to use fixed positioning jigs and drilling tools for drilling

For a tight fit, your hole should be equal to or slightly smaller than the diameter shown (Diameter + 0.006"/-0")

I use them for 3d printed stuff. They work great in hinges, alignment pins, and for strengthening parts. They're pretty strong, they have a polished enough finish for hinges and rollers, and they have consistent sizing. Super useful. Highly recommend using these. Very cheap and easy solution.

Like the title says. 99% of the pins were straight. Frankly, much better than I expected. I use these for locator pins btw.

I was looking for a pin 7.5 x2.5 mm. I ordered these which were nominally 8.0 mm x 2.5 mm. They were close at 8.0 x 2.48mm but I had to glue them in place because the pin kept sliding out. This 0.02 mm deviation may be an industry standard but it was a problem for me. I hope the glue holds up.

Dimensionally, these “dowel pins” were all over the place. Using a Mitutoyo digital micrometer I found that there was as much as .0014” deviation between them and also they were not round because I saw no evidence of precision grinding.

Pins seem to be held to +-.0005 in diameter and +-.003 in length. Overall very pleased with this for my use. Didn't count them out individually, but quantity seemed right.

2x22mm is the exact fit needed to hold your locking block into place on the G26 P80 frame. It worked perfectly and now I have a ton of spares.
