Ordered 2 pack, one worked great, the other didn't, but they are sending me a new one.

This is unacceptable. Less then 3 months and this valve has failed. This is not something we want to keep messing with.UPDATE-seller refunded full price. They get 5 stars, product 1, average of 3.

Great unit. No connection problems, and I have not had an issue with it.

Bought this UseeLink valve at the beginning of August 2023 for a project. I had no trouble setting it up to be controlled from my phone with the Smart Life app, and easily programed an automated schedule for it in Google Home. I found it to be well built, that it performed as promised, and was happy to recommend it to anyone in the market for such a device.A few weeks ago, so just about a year after buying it, it stopped working.Instead of the usual blue LED glow, it is now absent from my WiFi network. It now insists on moving to the closed position, flashes red and makes a click sound about once a second. I've tried to figure out the problem, have moved it closer to my router, have opened it up to see if anything inside looks damaged, have tried to find anyone online with a similar problem or else any sort of documentation, and have made no progress at all...Lowered my review to one-star since I want to be able to count on such a device for more than just one year.I need a working device, and am torn on if I should buy another one from Useelink or else buy a different model from a different company.

The product is a great idea and it does work well. Installation is relatively easy even though the adjustable collar provided was a bit too short for my pipes and I had to buy a larger one. I live in an appartment and the main pipes are inside the wall with poor access. The main problem I see is not being able to use the valve manually if I need to override the system. If there is a WiFi failure then it is still possible to activate the valve by pressing the ON/OFF button conveniently located at the top of the unit. But if there is a power failure and you need to turn the valve at that time, it is very difficult to do so.The unit has a clutch disconnection pin which disconnects the mechanism and allows to turn the valve manually in case of an emergency without power. This would be perfect if that pin was accessible! It is located underneath the unit, so it ends up sandwiched between the unit and the pipe. You have to pull on a keyring to pull the pin and disengage the lever to allow manual use. Once the unit is in place, in a wall, it is very difficult to access this release ring making it very difficult and time consuming to disengage the mechanism and allow manual use of the valve. If your main pipe is exposed and easily accessible, it may be easier but in my case the pipes are inside a wall with a trap access and it is almost impossible to grab that ring and move the lever at the same time...This was very disappointing as I otherwise really like the unit. If they had put the release ring on the side or the top of the unit it would have been perfect!I ended-up returning it as I cannot take the risk of not beeing able to turn the valve manually if the automatism fails...

I waited to write this review since I had to do a lot of work just to replace my old gate valve with a compatible ball valve. No problem connecting to wifi - it's Tuya so I have it in Home Assistant. Other reviewers say it doesn't have enough torque - not true. Problem is that with the short swing arm it only puts pressure about halfway up a normal ball valve lever and if you've ever tried moving that lever from the middle as opposed to the end you know how much harder that is. Of course that's why we don't have short levers ON ball valves - in the US anyway. The bracket only clamping to one end of the valve/pipe means it twists with the torque necessary to even try to move the valve. My solution was to extend the swing arm with a mending plate. It's a wonder that this short and non-adjustable arm is industry wide. My sister bought a Buulldog brand at 3 times the price and it's the same way. And apparently nobody sells an aftermarket arm; shame because it would be easy to replace

Motor is likely strong enough for a smaller shut off valve, but did not have enough power to move my main water valve. Very disappointed.

Work well when out of the weather. Let it be known, I had some in Valve boxes in the ground and they didn’t last long. I repiped to move the valves to the side of my house to be under protective eaves and out buildings. A lot of work, but they are lasting longer

I built an automatic chicken door opener using this unit. It works perfect and is strong enough to open/close the chicken door.

This actuator worked great when the weather was warm. I used it to open a coop door, and even counter balanced the load so the actuator didn't have to carry the load, just swing, but stops working below 40*F.

This thing is awesome! Well built. Easy to install. Works great. The only warning is that you need a 90° ball valve so if you don't have one already you'll need to install one. If installing one is beyond your ability then this is not the device for you. I installed my own ball valves for about $15 each. Besides the valve, adding this controller only took about 10 minutes. I did need customer support, they were very responsive and helpful. Just a great experience all around!
