My father had similar grill back in the 80s. It was solid , well built device. This one is thin sheet metal joke!

UPD. Lowering my rating down to 3 out of 5 stars. After I used this grill might be 4-6 times, resedue oil eventually made its way to the motor, and got it cloged. How did I find out about it? Next time when I wanted to use this grill, I turned it on and noticed that skewers are not spinning at all. This could have been easily preventable if grill basket cups were better made - I think 2 out of 6 cups that I got I could rotate middle shaft separately from the cup itself. And eventually some of them were leaking the oil directly on shaft gears though the grill case, and 1 of 6 is directly connected to the motor. That's how motor got resedue oil in it.. and that oil it hardens when it cools down.. That's how motor got cloged in my case.Well, I dissasemble the bottom part of grill, chopped motor cords, dissasembled motor, cleaned up things, then put everything back again and all works now. I used grill multiple times since then and it is still working just fine.I guess this issue is also avoidable if you put good grill basket cup on the shaft above the motor - you can locate right shaft by 2 screws surrounding the shaft from both sides equaly. If you don't get a leaky cup above that shaft, you should be safe for long time. But this issue wouldn't exist if grill basket cups were just a bit better made.Overall, I'm still happy with this product. That's why I keep my rating at 3 stars and not 1. It broke - I fixed it, it still works.---------Flimzy assembly - I had to tighten all screws, handle was loose, 3 rods/stands were loose. Blue protective layer that protects metal sheet was not fully removed, I had to clean it up.Grill basket cups are made of 2 parts - central part is what you put skewer on for rotation and a cup. Some basket cups were not pressed in fully, but others are pressed fine and solid.Overall grill works as expected - just give some time (~ 5 min) for initial burn once you power it on, so that all initial fumes fade away. Also, I noticed that if gril cover is removed, skewer can slide out of position from top plate where it should stay for full rotation, but if you have enough kibab on it, cover helps to keep skewer in place.Electrical cord seems to be a bit thin for application, but it holds just fine, and after ~30 min of having grill turned on, I didn't notice any significant temperature change of the cord.Takes 25-30 min to cook pork kebab in case you wonder ;)After initial burn, white insulation on both side of heating element will look a bit burnt/gray, but I assume that's to be expected. I think that's some sort of ceramic fiber insulation that is expected to withstand high temperatures.Heating element seems to be surounded by some sort of ceramic plates on both sides & it has tight fit between metal plates - meaning that it is not screwed in any way, and just holding in position by top & bottom plates, but that is more than enough. To summarize, nice addition to the kitchen for winter when gas grill is covered in snow outside.ps. There was also extra glass tube (extra replacement part?) that came in box, I assume that glass tube is same as the one that heating element is in.
