Bottomline - the original seat on my John Deere mower finally gave out. My finest ducktaping jobs weren't up to the task of another makeshift repair. Time for a replacement seat. Short story short - this new seat is just what I needed - comfortable, easy to install and I feel like it was reasonably priced. I can't speak to durability yet, but it certainly appears to be well-constructed. And, my back is VERY happy.

Fit my JD LX 266 just fine. Better posture seat for me personally. I replaced the hard rubber springs as well. Seat seems well made, sturdy and the seat safety switch was a good fit. Very happy camper.

Super easy install and totally decent quality.I have two gripes:1. The rubber bumpers that support the back/bottom of the seat needed to be shortened so the seat bottom sat level. Before shortening, the seat sloped downward and felt awkward. Not a big deal - it only took a couple minutes to shorten the bumpers.2. The price. It's pretty expensive for a piece of molded plastic, a chunk of foam and a bit of vinyl covering. Yes, I understand John Deere themselves probably want an even more absurd price for an OEM unit, but I don't think that means an aftermarket one should also be overpriced. Less than absurd can still be egregious.

The seat came pretty quick and was a direct bolt on. Even the seat safety switch fit with just a turn of the switch. Really updated the look of a 20 year old machine.

Loved the installation as it was easy with included instructions. Perfect fit. The pass through design keeps water from standing on the seat. Durable and comfortable.

The seat was very easy to install and looks great. It looks to be a good quality made seat. I would recommend for anyone replacing a John Deere GT series mower seat.
