Product Description

The TOTO UltraMax One-Piece Round Bowl 1.6 GPF Toilet projects TOTO’s mark of excellence: “People Planet Water.” The TOTO UltraMax features a sleek, one-piece design that will immediately beautify the appearance of your bathroom. The one-piece design will immediately beautify the appearance of your bathroom. The one-piece design is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offers the benefit of being easier to clean versus a two-piece toilet. By removing the gap between the tank and bowl, we eliminate the hiding place for dirt and debris. An additional benefit of the one-piece toilet is that there is no threat of leaks from bolts or gaskets that can occur in two-piece toilets. The TOTO UltraMax utilizes TOTO’s G-Max flushing system. The G-Max flushing system features a 3” wide flush valve, extra-large siphon jet, and a large trapway. This reliable combination generates a powerful cleansing flush with 1.6 gallons of water. The TOTO UltraMax has a left-hand chrome trip lever and has an included TOTO SoftClose seat.

From the Manufacturer

Sleek high profile round one piece toilet with 12-Inch rough-in. Low consumption (6 Lpf/1.6 Gpf) siphon jet flushing action. Tank cover, fittings, chrome plated trip lever and SoftClose seat included. G-Max's extra-wide 3-Inch flush valve and wide 2-1/8-Inch glazed trapway offer increased flow, drawing water into the bowl more quickly, and then away more forcefully . And with G-Max's powerful siphon jet, the system makes sure what goes down stays down. G-Max is the industry benchmark for flushing performance with features like: A larger 2-1/8-Inch glazed trapway offers increased flow, drawing water into the bowl more quickly and then away more forcefully to prevent clogging. A huge 3-Inch flush valve creates a quicker, quieter, more forceful flush. An extra large siphon jet generates unmatched power for one-flush superiority to make sure what goes down stays down. Toto's SoftClose seat is the latest in innovative smart seat technology with Comfortable Ergonomic Design, Molded Bumpers, and High Gloss Polypropylene. (Resistant to Chemicals and Cleaning Agents.) Constructed of solid, high-impact plastic, this unique seat is specifically designed to reduce injury and to eliminate annoying "Toilet Seat Slam". The seat and lid utilize a built-in SoftClose hinge system, which lowers the seat down to the bowl gently and quietly. The engineering of SoftClose incorporates Toto's high standard of quality and consumer ease. Top tightening mounting bolts ensure easy installation. And of course, all seats are precision designed to fit regular or elongated bowls.

I've had two old (25+ years) toilets in my home and dreading the day they broke in some manner. I've been around enough low water usage toilets to know how poorly many work - taking 2-3 flushes negates the point of a 1.6 gpf toilet. I was also concerned that older plumbing waste systems (mine is 50 yrs old) don't work well on lower water flushes - many of my neighbors have had to dig up sewer lines while mine are working fine. SF also recently reported the problem of thick sludge in their sewer lines from the low water flow. Finally one of my older toilets cracked, and I had to get a new replacement. My son works for a contractor who uses nothing but Totos and recommended them. Even with a house full of children, he said they work well. This one was priced lower than some of the others but fit our bathroom dimensions (round, not elongated, fits in this bathroom). I ordered it, and since some other people here on Amazon reported poor delivery by local companies, I opted to head to my local Yellow Freight and pick it up myself when it arrived.Once installed and plumbed in, we began using it. It flushes well - no other way to say it. I've seen Kohlers at work and they can't flush with 1.6 gallons. This design is amazing, and after four months it has never required a second flush for solid waste.I still try to send extra water down after a solid flush, such as a shower/bath, run the washer, etc., just to be safe. Or even use a second flush if nothing else is going to send water to the sewer. But to clean the bowl or completely flush something down, a second flush is never required.Amazon says to consider a video review of the product in use - in this case, just take my word for it. The toilet works.

Wow, I was a little skeptical when my husband wanted to order this from Amazon. But after spending hours dealing with the 30 year old toilet that we had in the house, it sounded like a reasonable idea. The toilet installed easily. All the tank stuff is pre-installed. You just need the hose to the water supply and a wax seal for the floor.Once the toilet was seated, it was like a rock. You could do handstands on that thing. And it does look tiny, possibly child-size, but it handles all manners of intestinal distress with zero fuss. I'm tempted to throw away the plunger. The bowl area pretty much cleans itself. Any streaks generally disappear on the second flush. (95%)I would definitely buy this again if we ever put in a second bathroom.

I have heard that toto is the best, but this toto toilet actually throws poop back at you when if flushes. This toilet looks like it is for the oompa loompa's. It is so small. It also doesn't hold much water at all. I am not satisfied at all with this toto model! It has gotten to be the family joke because it is such a conversation piece. Everyone who uses it comments on it as they laugh. It must have been made for a small person. Maybe it is good for a child's toilet. It is ridiculous! Of course, who will take back a toilet? So, we are stuck with it. The site also says free super saver shipping but charges $50 and there is no way around this. Additionally, you cannot place anything on the toilet tank because it is not flat. A huge problem with me! No tissues will sit back there or extra toilet paper. My bathroom doesn't have any toilet paper storage. Totally not satisfied!

We have replaced all three toilets in our house with Toto one piece Ultra Max units. They are very quiet, the tank refills very quickly and quietly and they clear the bowl very efficiently. I guess the only negative is that they don't clean the bowl very well. I think this is because of the way the flushing action works. The water and matter are just sucked out of the bowl rather than the whirlpool action of more standard toilets. So it is something of a trade-off: quiet speed for a cleaner bowl. But, overall, we are very pleased with this product and it has saved us money on our water bill. One side note: Beware that the price of this item varies widely on Amazon. In the several months in between the purchase of the first Toto Ultra Max Round toilet and the second purchase of the same unit, the price varied as much as $60.00.

Previously we owned a Kohler toilet. I called it the 5-flush toilet because that is how many flushes it took to get one square of tp to go down the drain. It was forever clogging and we would have to pour a 5 gallon bucket of water down to get it to flush, after plunging. We got the Toto toilet in, and my husband installed. It amazing to be able to flush and walk away without having to stand and wait while the tank fills to flush again and again. This is well worth the money!!!
