I have allergies and mostly use unscented battery-operated or "flameless" candles. However, when I want the real deal, I use 100% natural beeswax candles, so I was happy to have the chance to review The Beeswax Co Santorini Travel Candle Tin!If you're looking for a heavily-fragrant, perfume-like experience, this candle isn't it! However, if you're looking for a healthy alternative to toxic chemical-laden candles, this one MORE than fits the bill! The natural honey aroma is wonderful! While the fragrance doesn't travel and encompass the room, it is very pleasant to be near this candle while it burns. And it burns clean!I greatly appreciate the fact that this candle is made in the USA! I get to support US businesses, US jobs, and, in this case, Texas bees! 😉I like the humor of this company and got a kick out of, "We collaborate with Texas Bees to create beautiful, all-natural candles," so I feel compelled to say, Thank you, Texas Bees! Way to go! Keep up the great work! 👏🏻The only criticism I have is with the packaging. The tin and a card about the candle were inside a little plastic ziplock bag and the candle I received arrived in an Amazon box with other products. Although the tin is sturdy, I would be concerned about it denting inside a bubble shipping mailer. Plus, it isn't a great presentation if you are sending this as a gift. Not a dealbreaker, but something to consider.Overall, I really like this candle, and it is definitely a product I would purchase again!5 stars and recommended!

I do want to say that this is a very nice looking candle, and would probably make a great gift for someone. But I feel that, for it's purpose, the scent is a bit lacking. If you're like me, you like to bring a candle when you travel to improve the smell in a hotel room, when needed. I lit it and left it in my bathroom at home for about an hour, but I could barely smell it when I checked it later. On the other hand, according to the enclosed card, there are other benefits from this type of candle that might make it worth having, especially if you don't enjoy the sometimes overpowering scent from, say, a Yankee candle. To each their own.

This is a great looking candle. The printed design and the metal tin are very very nice. However, what's a candle if it doesn't smell good? I appreciate all the beeswax marketing and that would make it a very nice gift IF it smelled good. I thought the scent would grow on me or improve after burning, but it doesn't. It's very natural but also has a sharpness that's not very pleasant.

First impression was that they are true to their word when they call this a "travel candle" as the tin packaging made it seem like a candle made for camping or something; It also looks good but doesn't try to be ostentatious in any sort of design, which I like. It feels very old-school. It's rather small but that was no surprise as they clearly stated the dimensions. It'd be great on-the-road and at home it's a perfect candle for supplementary lighting on a side table or a small dinner table for 2.It burned very well: the wick was straight, and the wax burned evenly. Speaking of which, the beeswax seems really good quality, with a very nice honey scent. Note, though, it's not exactly a "scented candle" as most folk are familiar with the term; The fragrance seems to be an entirely natural product of the beeswax so this is something that emits a pleasant odor in its immediate vicinity but will not fill a room with a honeyed scent. It doesn't seem like any fragrances are added. I deal with a lot of sinus allergies that get set off by strong (mostly artificial or highly concentrated) fragrances, and this didn't mess with them. The tin gets a bit warm when the wick starts burning near the bottom; It may not be much of an issue but just to be safe you may want to put it on a coaster if it's on a heat-sensitive surface like a wooden coffee table. It's a bit expensive, but it is a premium product. And made-in-the-USA, though there's a possibility in my mind that the tin may be made elsewhere: the label says "Made in Dipping Springs, TX" but they are very specific in the item description about this candle being poured in the US with US-sourced wax. That's a tiny detail, though. This was a great candle, and I'll buy another soon.

Just recently got turned on to beeswax candles, after realizing the paraffin cheap ones I had been getting at Ikea in bulk were not the healthiest stuff to be burning and breathing. Now I'm using mostly LED battery fake candles anyway but sometimes the real deal is what you need. Great little candle in a tin for travel and such - coulda come better packaged. It was just in a plastic bag with a card detailing the benefits of it, and the tin is a little dented since there was no hard outer box and it came in a bubble mailer. No biggie but good to be aware of if you were planning on gifting it, there's not really appropriate packaging for that.
