This is an absolute piece of crap. I must have missed it in the description, but this is an ASSEMBLE yourself. It comes with a top and a bottom circular wire frame and the shade is rolled up into a tube. Once assembled it is a flimsy piece of garbage. If you accidently move it, it falls apart. I was so disgusted with it, I threw it in the garbage instead of wasting m y time trying to return it

I needed a shade for a lamp I found at goodwill. I took forever comparing shades and sizes and prices and finally settled on this one. Very easy to put together and looks nice. Would buy again!

Love how this turned out! The lamp is an original MCM but also still had its old stained shade on it. Now it’s the perfect combination of modern and MC.I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting to have to build the shade but found it relatively easy to do.

AMAZING REALLY! My son bought a lamp at a high priced store and I was enthralled with the shape of the lampshade. The lamp no longer available but now I was obsessed with wanting the shade. YES AMAZON had an inexpensive knock off; I bought it, love it! You honestly cannot tell it from the "real thing" and the price 1/3rd of the official shade. Really a deal and a steal. Have fun and upgrade to this new look for pennies on the dollar. So happy with this purchase.

Frankly, I was more than a little put off when I opened the box to find two metal rings and a roll of “fabric.” When I got around to assembling it, I found the process wasn’t terribly difficult. The fabric’s “inside” side has little clips that snap onto the rings. The hardest part—which required a couple tries to get it right—was stretching the fabric to line up the velcro strips on the ends, which “seals” the cylinder. The downside of the velcro is that it produces a much thicker seam that one finds on a traditional, prebuilt lampshade and the surface has a raised join.
