Your cart is empty.Our System F3 access door has a removable panel that comprises a welded aluminum frame, concealed touch latches and a 5/8” (15.9 mm) drywall inlay. There is an outer and inner frame assembly of high grade aluminum that is bonded together with a special welding process. After installation, finishing, and tile installation, a small reveal of 1/8” (3 mm) is visible between the outer frame and the access door. Any access door over 12″ (305mm) has a safety-system to prevent accidental openings. This safety system must reset after each use. The rough opening of the hole is the door size + 3/8” (9mm). We designed this access panel for tiling applications. To “tiling the door leaf”: The aluminum profile is flush with the drywall and you place the tiles upon the profile.

Over the past 20 years leaks have forced me to rip out shower tile three times, and I was ready for something different. Until I saw an advertisement, I did not even know this kind of thing was available. It was exactly as advertised. In a standard house installation will probably be a breeze, in my nonstandard cabin it required adjustment to the wall. I’m happy.
