I had hoped for the LEDs to be somewhat brighter than standard bulbs, but this is not the case. I had already purchased new standard bulbs when I saw these LEDs. I installed the LED in one socket, and a new standard bulb in the other. The only real difference was that the LED had a more "daylight" white color, while the standard bulb gave a more yellowish color. The LEDs emitted a little less light than the standard bulbs (confirmed by a light meter), but the difference was not dramatic. I just installed the new standard bulbs, since they were slightly brighter than the LEDs, and I already had the old bulbs removed anyway. Interestingly, the new standard bulbs were not brighter than the old bulbs, though perhaps this is due to our not using the backup lights very often.

These are much nicer looking than the stock incandescent bulbs for my reverse lights. They are about the same intensity as the bulb being replaced, but in a much nicer pure white color now. These work well for my purpose and look awesome! If you are looking for super bright lights, you may want to look at the Zevo bulbs for a little more money.

While these fit in the socket the same as an incandescent bulb and operate the way that they're supposed to, these are incompatible with my 2012 Subaru Outback (and I would assume all 4th gen Outback/Legacy). They may work just fine if you attach a load resistor, but considering the original bulb lasted 9 years, I wasn't willing to go that route. If you run these bulbs, your dash will light up like a christmas tree after about 10 minutes of driving, which based on the lights that turn on (which have nothing to do with the actual issue) will leave some of your safety systems disabled.

the build quality is good, it is almost the same length as the oem 7440 bulb.it wasn't as bright as i thought, but it does give you a true white color led output instead of the bluish white color.

I had these in my BRZ for a few years and they worked great. I just put them in my WRX. I replaced a more expensive set of Diode Dynamic lights with these after they went out.
