It's alright if you don't look closely, but you can clearly notice the different grains in the 1st photo. One of mine had cracked at a seam, so I had to fill it with gorilla glue in 2nd photo. There are also large portions where the wood has been burned during cutting, which is rather unsightly (see 3rd photo).

These really make your sword(s) look fantastic hanging from the wall. The two notches are big enough to handle either blades or sheaths, giving you a bunch of flexibility so that you can either show off two open blades, two blades in their sheathes, or a single sword and it’s sheath which is how I display mine. They are a nice, light shade of finish that looks fantastic against the often dark wood of a finished sheath and they are super sturdy if mounted with proper spacing.I love mine and they make my Katana really shine on display.

The stand is noticeably light weight and installation was fairly quick (4 screws - it took more time making sure both racks are leveled). The felt insert is an excellent afterthought. They insures the scabbard would not get scratch or damaged.
