These are the first bike storage mounts I have ever used so I don't have any prior experience to compare them to. But I think these were a good choice. I like that these have the swivel option, it does come in handy if you need to move the bike to the side to get to other things or just need to store it that way. It highly recommends you mount these into a wall stud. I had problems getting the screws to go all the way in so I ended up using framing nails which was much easier but much more permanent. The locking pin for the swivel mount has several hole options but the string kept coming off, but it just ties back on. The bottom pieces help keep the bike from scratching up the wall and the bike center. These were easier to install and I used the screws provided. These mounts felt sturdy and secure and the design was well thought out. These can accommodate a wide range of bike sizes and weights. Excellent choice.

This racking system works by hanging your bike from a hook. It works as advertised. The rack rotates so your bike can get closer to the wall, a nice feature. There's a bottom piece that protects the wall from tire/dirt marks and keeps the tires vertically aligned. The one caveat is you have to be able to lift the bike up to get the wheel rim above the hook. Not everyone might be able to do that. The install video is easy to follow. I liked the warning about the "loose" pin probably being in the bottom of the box. :-). [There are two pins. One is tied to the top piece. This other one holds the hook in place on the top piece]. The first bike took about 15 minutes to install. The second took 5. During the install, I found two cautionary notes that the video doesn't tell you or gives a different impression.1. The top and bottom pieces have different screw sizes and you should have a #2 and a #3 screwdriver handy. The #3 screws aren't very strong - you can EASILY strip the head and the shaft can't take much torque. On the top the screws are #3 philips headed and it's #2 on the bottom. I watched the video end to end before starting, and thought I could use the same bit on both screws. That's wrong. A #2 bit stripped the head way too easily. The screw went in fine with a #3 bit.The video suggests you just screw directly into the stud (way better idea than using the drywall anchors). Not a good idea. Normally I predrill screw holes, but the video showed not doing it. So I didn't. Wrong. The screw broke about a quarter inch down the shaft once it got into the stud a little. The upper screws are cheap. They work, but between the stripping and breaking, you really should predrill the hole. I predrilled the next set-up and things worked quickly and smoothly.2. If you are putting up several bikes, you might want to insure the handlebars are at different heights to allow the bikes to rotate toward the wall more fully. I didn't. The bikes end up hitting each other, and not getting quite as close to the wall as would be possible. This one isn't a showstopper.

Like every thing about this. Want to know how far apart should multiple hangers be mounted. I have 3 bikes and therefore bought 3 .

I had a spare bike needing to be mounted. I purchased other bike mounts and they seemed flimsy and didn’t move around, I ended up returning them. This one was recommended to me by multiple friends.I highly recommend purchasing, best bang for your buck. This is the real deal!

The bike mounts themselves are great, good quality and heavy-duty, but you should use your own or purchase the screws and wall anchors. The hardware provided with these is not worth the hassle of stripped ends or breaking altogether. Other then that, the mounts are really nice and easy to use. We enjoy having the extra space in the garage by getting our bikes off the floor.
