Works pretty well. Haven’t used a Toyo; but have used Amazon Chinese special; this one cuts well & is thinner

Seems harder to use than a pistol grip but that could just be me. The product is made well and has lasted over a year for me.

Great cutter! Very well built and sturdy. I previously had the Studio Pro acrylic cutter but it cracked when I tightened the cap after using it. No need to worry about that with the all brass design. Best cutter I've owned.

terrible cutter! It was designed to deliver oil to the blade automatically, which isn't as important as keeping the blade stable. This thing allows the blade to move in both directions as your cutting. There is no way to tighten it. So, very often the score goes in directions other than where I want it. It must be caused by the option to replace blades; Who cares about that! When the blade goes, I replace the whole cutter

I primarily used the pistol grip style cutter prior to the purchase of this wonderful solid brass glass cutter. I now use this cutter quite a bit, although not as much as the pistol grip, but more than I have used the lighter plastic versions of this style of cutter in the past. This cutter is extremely well balanced and very comfortable in the hand. The use of this tool takes a bit of practice, but the accuracy is much better compared to that of the pistol grip type cutter once perfected. This tool feels heavy in the hand which greatly enhances the feel, comfort and accuracy of this awesome cutter! Thank you!

This cutter was the least expensive one, which is what I wanted as a hobbyist. I love the nice heavy handle, and the cutter head is not wobbly like in some pistol grip cutters. I never use oil reservoir when I use a pistol grip cutter anyway, I dip the cutter in a bottle cap filled with oil. So this cutter does the job, I am happy with it.
