If you have a dog (perhaps a puppy) that eats their food like it is their first and last meal of the week, then this is a great playful and fun way to slow them down and give them a chance to maybe taste the food they are devouring so quickly! Probably slowed by a factor of 2… meaning it has doubled the amount of time it takes them to eat meals. Great find!!

I recently adopted an older puppy and wanted to start her on a slow feed bowl like her sisters. All three of my dogs have been adopted and came from difficult backgrounds, and they all have food issues and eat really fast. I saw this item on Vine and it looked great. I have two other silicone slow feeding bowls and really like them. This bowl has all the features of the ones I already owned, except it's about half as deep and can't hold as much food. That is a bit of a disappointment. I would say this holds about a third of a cup comfortably in the recesses. You can add probably an additional half a cup or less, but it sits on top of the other food and is readily accessible without the slow feeding benefits. The one large suction cup on the underside of this bowl works great to keep it on the counter. But when I finally detach it and put this on the tile floor, it doesn't stick and the puppy can just push it around. This isn't a bad bowl. It just doesn't meet my needs, nor that of my puppy.I'm giving this four stars though because it is a nice bowl, it's silicone, it washes up easily, and would work for a smaller dog much better and probably different floors than my own.
