I love putting this together because all of the pieces are exactly the same (left or right side does not matter) take it from somebody who puts stuff together backwards more times than I can count.I found this to be extremely easy to assemble and although it does come with directions but because of my limited use of hands I was able to better assemble the step stool just in a different way.It comes with required hardware (all one size) with an allen wrench.The step stool is wood, when assembled correctly the step stool is very sturdy. The steps are wide and have a slip resistant surface unlike other step stools that leave very little room for you to safely stand on.It is heavy but it has two handles (cut out type on sides) it can accommodate up to 350 lb without wobbling. As life has progressed for me it is becoming more and more difficult to do some things and this definitely is going to be safer to use then other step ladders that I have used (feel like I'm going to fall off of or it's going to buckle).It is safe to use for toddlers, older children as well as adults. It would make a great gift and a useful item to have around the home. Yes it's large however it kind of needs to be, much safer than ones that fold for easier storage.Good value and looks a little rustic but hey I like it

OK, let’s start with the bad when putting the shelf together. There are no stickers so when it says there is one a in one B it’s hard to tell which side is which then both the stepladders were considered sea that’s all fine and good but when I went to go start to put this together, it either did not go. The screws did not go in the holes ride or it faced the wrong way, it didn’t say which direction it went so it took a while to figure it out, then trying to put the screws in. It was really hard to turn. The screws. Didn’t wanna go in the hole the right way or some of them stay loose as well as the handles are a little loose making me think that they are going to pop out. I happen to be a little OCD so the fact that the handles don’t even face the same direction gets me a little bit that’s what made it harder to see which one was a which one is being which side they went onso I am not Too thrilled about how this product is so far on the other hand the good it does not scratch easily it does indeed hold the amount of weight that it says it’s supposed to hold. It is high enough up that my toddler can reach the sinks or the counters since it is a two step it can be used in multiple places so that is a plus if to me it is sturdy so it’s not easy to break or collapse. It does take up a little bit of space and present a toy for my toddler he thinks but all in all for the product it is a nice sturdy stool

Putting this stool together shaved a few hours off of my total lifespan. All of the holes were slightly off center. Once one part was partially screwed in place, trying to put the next screw in on the same part was a struggle. Wood is not flexible, so when things don't line up correctly it's almost impossible to put everything together.It took me quite a while, but after a few prayers and pressing the parts together for dear life, I was able to get all of the screws in.The weight limit on this thing claimed to go up to 300 lbs, I don't exactly trust that. I'm chunky, but nowhere near 300 lbs. Standing on just the bottom step made me feel very uncomfortable. It didn't feel particularly stable. The wood doesn't feel like it'll hold me up for longer than five minutes. It didn't wobble or anything, just kind of buckled when I put both feet on the step. It doesn't feel safe enough for me to try the top step.This thing is functional, just not the greatest stool in the world. It's small enough to be stored in a bottom cabinet and it doesn't take up a lot of space.

I love these steps to use to get into my bed. The color is beautiful also. You do have to either buy some sort of non-slip strips like I did & they are perfect because without the strips, this wood is slick. I do recommend this if you have problems getting into & out of your bed.
