My 2004 Tahoe seems to chew through these oil sensors. I've used Genuine GM and Doorman before. This time I decided to try Standard after the Doorman lasted only 3 years. The box states it is Made in USA, at least the one I got, so that is a major bonus. The threads are coated and there is a built in lock washer. I don't use the filter thing. If you don't already own one, get a proper oil sensor socket. I use the Lisle 13250 Oil Pressure Switch Socket. It is designed to fit perfectly. All the brands are the same size.Once installed my oil pressure was back to normal.I hope this one last longer than the others.

Picked this sensor up to replace the faulty OEM GM oil pressure sensor on my 06 Silverado with 222k miles. My gauge cluster kept dinging like crazy saying low oil pressure since the gauge would drop to zero every once in a while. I was confident it was the sensor since the motor showed no signs of no oil pressure. This standard motor products sensor installed easily and fixed the intermittent no oil pressure issue. It was priced well and delivered quickly. Hopefully it lasts as long as the rest of the truck. Definitely recommend.

Had to edit my original positive review of this item as a few days ago without warning it failed giving a reading of 0 PSI oil pressure and warning on the dash of LOW OIL PRESSURE. I pulled the sensor out thinking maybe the filter below was clogged giving a false reading as the engine showed no signs or sounds of truly having no oil pressure. To my disgust this supposedly better sensor failed the same way the original AC Delco sensor fails, an internal oil leak causing oil to short the wires. I've attached a pretty bad photo the best I can to capture the oil inside the terminals where it clearly should not be. Item was installed just 7 months before and had 2,500 miles at most on it.I called the manufacturer and finally got a hold of a living person after 4 days worth of trying only to be told "We don't sell to Amazon and don't warranty items sold by them". Amazon says contact manufacturer, manufacturer says contact Amazon so I'm just out of luck and the $40. I decided to get a replacement from a local autoparts store that will warranty their items and now my oil pressure is reading the correct 40+ PSI as it did before.

I opted for this sender over the AC delco OEM sensor because some say that one is cheap, breaks off etc. So far so good. The sender is made out of high quality machines aluminum and fits a 1-1/16 sensor socket perfect like the original factory sender did. It fixed the PEGGED 80 PSI reading the vehicle had when the key was turned on. So far this part was better than the BWD S4202 that some say is ideal. I found that part does not even fit any sensor socket!

Works great UNLIKE the cheaper versions on amazon this came with sealant on threads , a gasket and the oil pressure screen that goes in the oil port . Do yourself a favor and go on and buy this .

This is the only brand that has both worked and/or been durable for more than a couple of weeks. I purchased this one based upon a number of different source reviews, and it has lived up to its billing. This is the only one I would recommend after the multiple failures from other brands, including the item AC Delco.

Direct fit and good working replacement for OEM sensor. However, if you have a VHF band commercial or amateur radio transceiver, be aware you may have problems with RFI. After installing this sensor my oil pressure gauge drops to zero when transmitting on the radio. This is using a roof mounted NMO 5/8 wave antenna and 10-50 watts of power in the 144-148 MHz range. At 5W there is no effect.
