The nipples are not stainless steel. They're like a chrome plated finish. And two of them the threads were garbage and leaked.

I got these pig water nipples as a replacement for a broken one. I was given a blue barrel that had a nipple installed, but while hauling the barrel, I managed to break it off. These were a perfect fit, as a replacement. I plan to install the other four, into some other barrels.I highly recommend these pig water nipples. They work perfectly.

I really liked the idea of having everything needed in a kit...Unfortunately the nipples don't fit the bulkhead fittings. The waters are made with a 1/2 tapered pipe thread. But, the bulkhead fittings are a straight thread. This resulting in the nipples inability to seal to the fitting. The kit comes with a roll of sealing tape but, no matter how much tape you put on, it will not seal. I ended up ordering the correct bulkhead fittings and disgusting the ones that came with the kit.

I put three of these nipple on a 55 gallon drum and so far they have been working great with no leaks. The install took about 5 mins and I really like that they include a bi metal hole saw a it made drilling through the drum pretty easy. It took me about 4 or 5 days to get my pigs used to these but even that was easy. So overall I am happy with this waterer pack and I have no complaints.

pigs like the fresh water from the 55 gallon drums over the troughs except they can't nock the drum over to roll in the water.

The metal in the fitting is such poor quality that the first two I assembled broke along the threads while screwing the nipples in.Two of the three I have left have water leaking by.I would recommend passing this product up and buying something with higher quality metal.Also, product didn’t come with instructions or parts just. There’s not much to it and most won’t need instructions, but just passing on my observations of the product.

I originally got this kit because I had everything all in one package. And while it is a nice package. I did have the same issue that some others have had. I don't know if mine leaked as bad as theirs. While I wish I didn't have to Jerry rig this to fit without leaking it really wasn't too big of a deal. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and easy to use. If nothing else. I got a decent drill bit for doing holes for the next project.

I got these to test out on my goats since we won't be getting pigs until next year. Took them a few minutes to get the idea. The almost-4 year old doe we have was a bit more cautious of them at first, but she got used to it soon enough. We'll see how they do when winter hits.
