Only three stars because the shipper used no foam or added paper in box. This is a precision piece, and when it arrived I was in tears to see the item completely pushed out of its original box. I had to test it on the lathe for proper balance, and it spun alright.

It's much better than the plastic one I thew 11$ away on I have a 7" mikita grinder and it broke the cheep one in 10 minutes

Worked great to keep granite chamfered edge flat and straight. Velcro started to loosen or I would have given it 5 stars

(Out of round, worse than one it replaced.) Not true. The Stadea has a taller 5/8 mount which worsened my mistake. I just thread this on to my Roxx machine without putting the metal collar part on. This is part of the two piece connectors for non threaded attachments which tighten by a spanner wrench. When you just thread the backer on without that bottom piece it tightens to thread pitch which makes it be not flat! If your polisher is designed for non threaded attachments that use the spanner nut and bottom washer it probably has no flat surface to tighten on! Yes stupid! But if it happens to you I hope you read this. peace

Very solid, well-balanced backing plate. The hook material is heavy-duty and I'm very happy with how well the material is affixed to the plate. This should last for a long, long time.
